Well Mannered

A collection of vases made for exhibition in Paris in early 2022. This collection explores the contemporary graphic potentials of Shino glaze, a glaze more often associated with rustic and unpredictable aesthetics in traditional ceramics. Glaze is painted onto rough stoneware in layers to control the range of colors possible with a single shino glaze, from glossy clean white to rough fiery orange.
